I was a faculty member at Rutgers University and lived in New Brunswick for 6 years (2016-2022), started the Latino New Jersey History Project, and became involved in the struggle to defend the Lincoln Annex School from demolition for the RWJBH/Rutgers/NJIC cancer center. I am an expert in Latino/a history in Chicago and nationally since 1945.
