Biographical information

Jason Strother is an adjunct professor at Montclair State University where he teaches a course on disability representation in entertainment and news media as well as other journalism classes. after spending more than a decade as an independent multimedia journalist overseas, Jason returned to his home state in 2021 and continues to report on topics related to disability and accessibility. His work is informed by his own experience as someone with a low vision impairment. Jason holds an MA in international relations from the University of Kent's Brussels School of International Studies and a BA in television production from MSU. in 2020, he was awarded a National Geographic Explorer grant to further his ongoing work reporting on how climate change in packs people with disabilities.
