Indya J. Jackson is an Assistant Professor of African American Literature at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Jackson’s research interests include Black Power Studies, African American literature after 1945, Afro-pessimism, anti-Black surveillance, and carceral studies. Jackson received her PhD and MA in English Literature from The Ohio State University and her BA in English from Tuskegee University.
